This page explains, in full, how Proxima Hub makes money and what effect that has, and does not have, on what you read here.

Which links are paid

Links on this site that lead to World of Warships are paid affiliate links. Each one is a button or link labelled "Visit the World of Warships website", and each has a note right beside it saying it is paid. There are no other paid links on the site. Links to government bodies, regulators, charities and other reference sources are ordinary links, and nobody pays us for them.

Who pays, and for what

World of Warships's affiliate programme is run through an affiliate network. When you follow one of our paid links, your browser first passes through the network's tracking address, price-low.eu, which records that the visit came from us, and then goes on to the vendor. If you then download the game and create and activate a new account, the network pays a commission to THEUMI LTD, the company that publishes this site. We are not paid simply for a click, and we are not paid for anything you buy inside the game.

What it costs you

Nothing. Following our link does not change the price of anything the vendor offers, and you pay nothing to Proxima Hub or THEUMI LTD at any point.

What the commission does not influence

  • Our general guidance. The guides on choosing games, age ratings, in-game spending, account security and compatibility apply to any online PC game. They would say the same if the paid links were removed.
  • The order of coverage. Guides are ordered by the sequence in which a reader's questions usually arise, not by commission. The page about World of Warships comes last in that sequence.
  • What we claim about the product. We describe World of Warships only on the basis of the description supplied with the programme, and we say plainly where that description is silent. We do not add claims to make the product sound better.

What the commission does determine

We are open about this. World of Warships is the only game we name, and we name it because we have this affiliate arrangement. We have not compared it with every alternative, we do not rank it, and we do not present it as better than other games. If we take part in other affiliate programmes in future, we will add them to this page and label their links in the same way.

Our relationship with the game

Proxima Hub and THEUMI LTD are not the developer, publisher or operator of World of Warships. We are not an official site, partner or authorised source for the game, and it does not endorse or sponsor us. For support with the game, contact its operator through its official website.

Advertising standards

UK advertising rules expect marketing to be obviously identifiable as marketing. The Advertising Standards Authority enforces those rules, including for affiliate marketing. We label paid links at the point where they appear, in ordinary text size, as well as on this page and on the homepage.
