What this site is, and what it is not
Proxima Hub is a set of practical guides on choosing, paying for, running and securing online PC games, and one page about a specific game. It is not a news site, a review site or a game store. It is not connected to any game developer or publisher. Nothing can be downloaded from it. It does not offer accounts, newsletters or sign-ups, and it collects nothing from visitors.
How we decide what to cover, and in what order
Our scope is narrow, and we would rather be honest about that than claim a breadth we do not have.
- General guides. Choosing a game, age ratings, in-game purchases, account security and compatibility apply to almost any online PC game. We chose them because they are the questions people actually need answered before a download, and none of them depends on a commercial relationship.
- Named products. We currently name one game, World of Warships, and it is the one game we earn an affiliate commission from. We cover it because of that arrangement, not because we have compared it with every alternative. We do not present it as better than other games.
- Order. Guides are arranged in the order the questions usually come up: what to play, whether it is suitable, what it costs, whether it runs, and how to keep the account safe. The page about a specific game comes last.
How we handle facts and claims
- Product details for World of Warships come only from the description supplied with the affiliate programme. Where that description is silent, on price, system requirements or age rating for example, we say so and send you to the vendor or to PEGI.
- When we mention a law, a regulator or a public service, we link to the source so you can check it.
- We do not publish ratings, scores, rankings, test results or reader reviews, and we do not use testimonials of any kind.
- We do not use urgency, countdowns or claims about scarcity.
- We do not publish promotional codes, which go out of date and are often used as bait by scammers.
How the site is funded
The site earns money only through affiliate commission on links to World of Warships, and every such link is labelled where it appears. There is no advertising, no sponsored content and no tracking. The affiliate disclosure page explains the arrangement in full.
